Dr. McCann’s philosophy is based on his concern for the importance and uniqueness of each of his patients. Because of this concern, he treats each patient as an individual, and engages each of his patients in a discussion that allows the patient to understand their level of health. Dr. McCann has a Bachelor of Science in Biology, from Virginia Commonwealth University; Doctor of Dental Surgery, from the Medical College of Virginia; School of Dentistry; and a Certificate in Dental Business Management from the Center for Professional Development, Business School for Dentists, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. McCann has belonged or presently belongs to many professional societies, including the American Dental Association; Virginia Dental Association; Northern Virginia Dental Society; Academy of General Dentistry; Virginia Academy of General Dentistry; NC Academy of General Dentistry; American Prosthodontic Society; American Mensa; and the Implant Society of Northern Virginia.

Dr. McCann believes in giving back to the community, and has volunteered his time to local Retirement Communities, Senior Citizens Centers and his church.
